Crawfish Boil this Saturday, The Local 269 on Sunday.

Last night’s show with the Luce Trio at Sycamore went really well, thanks to those that came out. Shifting gears from classical music, I will be leading an old time dixieland trio this Saturday, June 4th, to accompany the 2nd annual Crawfish Boil at Sycamore again in Ditmas Park. Joining me will be Aidan O’Donnell on bass, and Jason Nazary on drums. I’m going to try and play soprano for the whole show, which runs from 3-7. Hope the chops hold up! Should be a fun time with crawfish for all!

The next day, I will be playing with my group at The Local 269 at 9 pm. It will be our first time playing at this venue, please come out and support us. The band will include Greg Ruggiero, Clay Schaub and Flin Van Hemmen.
Have a great beginning of summer everyone.

Luce Trio Debut

I’m excited that the newly dubbed Luce Trio will have our first performance under that name at Sycamore in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn on June 1st.
We’ll be performing excerpts from Bach’s Cantata 179, Handel’s Rinaldo, John Dowland’s Lute Songs, and some of my compositions.
There are some clips on our Gigmaven page.
It has been a challenge to try and interpret this music, sometimes combined with improvisation, in a way that is true to us as non-classical musicians. I hope you will come see the results so far.
